In addition to the 10 urban routes in the Principality, CAM runs several specific services for schoolchildren.
- Morning/evening pick-up for CARMES, PARC and FANB schools. Registration and information from the school secretariat. 34€ per term (2024-2025 rates).
Numerous line reinforcements are available at school-leaving times and places.
Similarly, in the mornings, additional lines will be set up to link the east of the Principality to the new Charles III secondary school. For greater ease of information, line 4 reinforcement buses will be introduced between 7.15 a.m. and 7.40 a.m., accessible to all. The preferred drop-off point will be HONORE II, and the school will then be reached via Promenade Honoré II.
The information gathered in the first few days following the start of the new school year will enable us to make the best possible adjustments to the resources at our disposal.
- for a top-up, simply go to our branch at 22-24 rue du Gabian in MONACO's Fontvieille district from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with your child's bus card, the child's re-registration form or school certificate (which we will keep) and a payment of 10 euros.
- to create a new card, a photo (which will be returned once the card has been created) must be added to the above-mentioned supporting documents.
- in the event of loss of a card already issued, a duplicate will be requested for the sum of 10 euros.
THE MONAPASS APPLICATION
If you're unable to get to the station in person and would prefer to take out your pass remotely, you can do so with the Monapass application!
Just follow the steps below.
IMPORTANT: you'll need an internet connection to access your child's pass and validate it on the bus.
From their smartphone, download the MONAPASS application from the iOS or Android store and create a Monapass account for your child.
Follow the path: HOME / TRANSPORT / BUS, select the 10-euro PASS Scolaire product.
Once the documents have been validated, the subscription will be loaded remotely onto your child's phone.
After payment, you can delete your bank details to prevent involuntary purchases (My Info/Payment methods).
The smartphone then becomes the only means of validation for your child.
Go to one of the stops on the Principality's network:
1. The bus can only be boarded from the front, except with special authorization from the driver or a C.A.M. inspector. If you have a monthly, quarterly or annual contactless card, you can also use the central or rear doors.
2 Take your ticket with you, or ask the driver.
3. validate your ticket in the machines provided, and keep it with you throughout your journey.
The entire Monaco bus fleet and the boat bus are equipped with validators that accept most bankcards, with the exception of American Express and Nickel cards. All you need to do is present your validated bank card to the ticket inspector.
By validating your credit card on the validator, no ticket is issued. If you need to justify your journey or debit, you can obtain a proof of charge by going to the home page of our site and clicking on the "My credit card purchase history" section. You will be asked to enter a certain number of digits from your card, the expiry date and then select the desired day.
The information communicated in real time by your bank is not entirely accurate, as it concerns a sum of money sequestered for the day as part of the card's multiple use on Monaco's buses. In fact, CAM has a system called OPEN PAYMENT, which limits spending on the identified bank card according to whether it is used daily, weekly or monthly on our buses.
The sum of €5.50 corresponds to the daily ceiling for the PASS 24H sold for €5.50.
After midnight, an adjustment is made on your bank statement, showing the amount actually debited.
It is possible to make one or more connections within 30' of the 1st validation, with no restrictions on the choice of line, direction or stop.
You must VALIDATE your contactless card or ticket EVERY TIME. Detail tickets can be presented to the driver for issuance of a CONTREMARQUE or scanned directly onto the validators using the new QR Code.
To take advantage of your TER+ Principauté de Monaco pass, simply fill in the application form and attach a photo, a photocopy of your identity card and your employer's certificate. You can hand in your application at the station of your choice or at one of the dedicated ticket offices.
You can also send your application by post to the following address:
SNCF - Nice Ville Station
Espace Billettique
Avenue Thiers
06008 Nice Cedex 1
Your personal card will be sent to you within 10 days.
If you are unable to validate your ticket, please contact the driver.
If your ticket is no longer valid, you will have to recharge your card with the driver.
If your ticket is faulty, buy a new one from the driver. Keep the receipt and contact our offices to obtain a duplicate of your card.
Validator color indicators:
- Green: OK, your ticket is validated
- Orange: ticket already validated
- Red: ticket expired or card defective
Each passenger must carry a ticket which must be validated when boarding, including free tickets.
Passengers must present their ticket to the driver and/or ticket inspector whenever required.
It is not possible to change formulas during the validity period. The term must be reached. However, it is possible to purchase in advance, with the subscription becoming active on the first validation when the current package expires.
Boarding is via the front door. Passengers already in possession of a valid season ticket (annual, quarterly or monthly) may board at either door. If your season ticket is no longer valid, you must contact the driver to regularize your situation.
Pets are not allowed in vehicles:
- Only small animals, suitably enclosed in bags or baskets (max 45 cm), are allowed to travel free of charge, provided they do not soil or inconvenience passengers.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash, in compliance with Monaco's public-access rules and regulations (e.g. muzzling requirements). Dog owners must pay their own fare.
